Affirmations can be any statement or declaration made by the conscious mind that is accepted as "true" by the subconscious mind.

It is the subconscious mind that "projects" or manifests our physical experience. Therefore, any statement or declaration made by the conscious mind that is not accepted by the subconscious will not create the desired physical result.

Positive affirmations, or positive thinking, is often applied as a technique for solving real life problems and achieving goals or outcomes. The results are always mixed, however, unless one is aware of the metaphysical principles at work in our physical universe.

In a nutshell: the subconscious mind projects our physical experience, the conscious mind perceives and assigns meanings to the holographic projection, and the spiritual heart provides guidance and direction. It is the heart that decides what it "true" and what is "false". All desire is love-based and from the heart. Intention, however, is created by the mind and can be in alignment with the heart and love-based, or aligned with the illusion of separation and fear-based.

Any attempt to "force" positive thought into the subconscious mind using repetition is an attempt to bypass the inner guidance of the heart, and will deliver mixed results. It is possible to use hypnosis and repetition to "trick" the subconscious mind and create a physical result or manifestation. However, the results may or may not be in your best interests, or in alignment with your heart's true desires.

Affirmations that arise from your heart will "feel" true and be readily accepted into the subconscious mind. No repetition or hypnosis is required. However, obtaining these positive thoughts from the heart does require a process that connects the conscious mind to the spiritual heart center.

Meditation techniques that still the mind and connect to the heart will facilitate this process. When you are at a loss for words that ring "true" in your heart, turn to meditation with the intention of receiving words that will function as positive affirmations for your life. When you receive them, write them down and read them aloud. If the words feel good you can be certain that they will be accepted by your subconscious mind and result in positive outcomes.
